Planning to visit Albania from Pakistan? Here’s how you can apply for a visa.
Getting a visa for Albania may seem complicated, but having the right information can make things a lot clearer. We aim to help Pakistani citizens understand what’s needed for their Albanian visa application.
Soon, you’ll be wandering through the historic town of Berat, lounging on the sunny beaches of Ksamil, or exploring the ruins of Butrint. Let’s get started.
Do Pakistani citizens need an Albania Visa?
Yes, Pakistani citizens who want to travel to Albania need to get a visa first before entering the country.
A short-stay visa to Pakistan allows a stay of up to 90 days over a period of 180 days, and the maximum validity period is five years. However, you don’t need to apply for one if you meet one of the following conditions:
-
You have a valid, multiple-entry Schengen visa that has previously been used in a Schengen member state.
-
You have a valid residence permit issued by a Schengen state.
-
You have a valid, multiple-entry US or UK Visa previously used in the respective country.
-
You have a valid residence permit for the US or UK.
-
You have a 10-year residence visa for the UAE that is valid for more than a year from your expected date of entry into Albania.
How to get an Albania Visa from Pakistan
Although we currently don’t handle Albanian visa applications, we can provide the information you need to apply confidently.
Here’s how to do it:
-
Visit the Albania eVisa application portal.
-
Click “Apply” and on the next page, choose “Electronic Visa” and “Visa Type ‘C’ Short stay visa” in the “Select the desired visa type” section.
-
In the “Browse type C visas” section, select the visa type that best suits the purpose of your trip. A collapsible menu with a list of required documents will be displayed. Gather the required documents before clicking “Apply.”
-
Sign in to your account with your email address and password. If you don’t have an account, click “Register” at the top of the page.
-
Complete the online application form and upload the required documents.
-
After submission, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to pay the visa fee. Once the payment is successfully processed, you’ll receive an email notification that your application is being evaluated.
-
Wait for the application to be processed, which generally takes up to 15 working days (in exceptional cases, it can take up to 30 working days). We recommend applying for your visa 1-2 months before your trip.
-
If your eVisa is approved, it will be emailed to you. Print it out and have a digital copy on your mobile device as well before your trip to Albania.
It’s important to note that you should plan to travel within 90 days of the date of your eVisa application. If your planned travel date is further than that, your application will be rejected.
