What Application Options Do I Have?

Citizens of Mauritania have application options that vary in price and in processing speed. The e-visa application has three options for you to choose from, each of which includes service fees.

  • Standard Speed - including service fees, the standard application costs USD $188.99 and is processed in 14 days.
  • Rush - including service fees, the rush application total cost is USD $224.99 and is processed in 11 days.
  • Super Rush - including service fees, the super rush application has a total cost of USD $277.99 and is processed in 7 days.

Can I Apply for an Extension to Stay in the Country Longer?

Yes, you can. Extensions can be approved for up to 90 days. If you are interested in staying in Antigua and Barbuda past your visa's allowed time, your first step will be to put in an application at the Immigration Department. Extension applications have a 300 USD nonrefundable fee that is required. Additionally, you will be asked to produce several documents at the time of your application in order to be considered for approval.

My Children Are Traveling with Me, Can They Use My Visa?

No. Each traveler is required to have their own e-visa. You will need to fill out applications for them. However, you will put your passport information on their applications, in addition to your own.

Do In-Transit Travelers from Mauritania Need to Fill Out a Visa Application?

The visa requirement that is usually placed on citizens of Mauritania is waived for in-transit travelers who are only in Antigua and Barbuda for less than 24 hours. The only required travel document you will need as an in-transit traveler is your passport. However, if your transportation out of Antigua and Barbuda departs after 24 hours of your arrival into the country, you will be required to fill out an application for an e-visa.
