When traveling in Bangladesh, don't hesitate to visit the Natore Rajbari, one of the oldest rajbaris in the country, dating back to the early 18th century. It was once the nerve center of the second-largest zamindari in the region. The entire Natore Rajbari is surrounded by centuries-old ponds and trees. This destination belongs to a series of 7 rajbaris.
One can enter the main one of the palace, called Boro Taraf, through a long avenue lined with impressive palm trees, whose trunks resemble the columns of the temple. If you continue discovering the place you will be able to observe at the back of Boro Taraf the crumbling walls of the Palace of Rani Bhavani, a place that was the residence of the widowed wife of one of the rajas of Natore.
On the other side, at the far end of the complex is a second block called Chhoto Taraf, consisting of two rajbaris. The main rajbaris overlook a pond. Entry is restricted due to the deterioration of the structure, however, one is allowed to look through the broken windows.
You can reach this destination by bus to the bus stop and then walk for about half an hour or take a cab to the site.
