What is the Passenger Locator Form?

Do I need a COVID vaccine or vaccination certificate to enter Belgium?

Yes, Belgium has been taking steps to restore travel within its borders. Travelers must be fully vaccinated in order to enter Belgium. Exemptions apply to those coming from Schengen Area countries, as well as "White list countries".

Accepted vaccines are Moderna, Janssen, AstraZeneca, and Pfizer. You are considered vaccinated if all doses of a vaccine against SARS-Cov-2 have been administered for at least two weeks before traveling.

Do I need a COVID-19 test to get into Belgium?

  • COVID test prior to arrival: PCR test within 72 hours or antigen test within 24 hours.
  • COVID test exemptions: Children under 12 and fully vaccinated travelers.

Do I have to remain in quarantine?

Quarantine requirements: There are no quarantine requirements.

I’m traveling by boat, do I need to complete the Passenger Locator Form?

Yes, all visitors traveling by airplane or boat are required a Belgium Passenger Locator Form. As well, anybody else planning to arrive in Belgium, unless:

  • They will leave within 48 hours of arrival.
  • They are returning from a trip that took less than 48 hours abroad.

Only in these specific cases, you are not required to fill out the Passenger Locator Form.

I have children, do they need to complete the form?

This will depend on the age of your children. If your children are 16 years old or older, they will have to fill out the Passenger Locator Form. In case your children are younger, you must mention them during your application.

What are the requirements?

The Passenger Locator Form will require personal information like name, passport number, nationality, phone number, countries visited during the past 14 days, address where you will stay in Belgium, among other details. Also, check the next items:

  • Passport scan showing your photo and personal information.
