I had planned to fly directly into Siem Reap for a trip to Angkor Wat, and in my Cambodia eVisa application, I put Siem Reap airport as my entry point. But my travel buddies and I have decided to start our journey in Bangkok first before taking a scenic bus ride into Cambodia, which means I'll be entering through a land border instead of flying. I’m a bit worried—does it matter that my visa says I’d be flying into Siem Reap? Could I run into any issues at the border?

If you initially planned to fly into Siem Reap but are now entering through a land border, it's essential to update your entry point on your eVisa. The eVisa needs to specify the correct port of entry, whether it’s an airport or a land border. You can make these changes through the eVisa "Check & Change" option on the official eVisa website to avoid any issues at the border.

I was supposed to go to Cambodia this month but my plans have shifted to August. My eVisa, however, was already approved and it’s set to expire on August 16th. Here’s my concern: I’m landing in Phnom Penh at the beginning of August and will stay in the country for more than two weeks, which means I’d be there past my visa’s expiry date. Will I face any issues if I leave Cambodia after the 16th? Or is that expiry just about the last day I can use it to enter?

The expiry date on your eVisa is the last day you can use it to enter Cambodia, not the date by which you must leave. If your eVisa expires on August 16th, you can still enter Cambodia on that date and stay for the duration allowed by the visa. Therefore, if you enter at the beginning of August, you can legally stay beyond the 16th as long as it does not exceed the stipulated limit from your day of entry.

I was in Cambodia for the first time this year back in mid-June then went to Thailand. I’m back in Thailand for a work trip and would love to visit Cambodia again before going back home. Do you know if there;s a limit on how many times you can enter Cambodia with an eVisa within a month or a year? I don’t want to be stopped at the border.

The Cambodian eVisa is generally issued for a single entry only. This means you cannot use the same eVisa to re-enter Cambodia once you have left, even if it’s within the same month or year. Each entry into Cambodia would require a new eVisa application unless specified otherwise.
