The Tourist Visa is specifically for sightseeing, exploring cultural and historical sites, and leisure travel, as well as short-term non-business-related visits, such as visiting friends or family.

How long can you stay with a Cambodian Tourist (T) Visa?

The Tourist Visa is a Single entry visa valid for 3 months from the date of issue. With this visa, you can initially stay in the country for up to 30 days in total.

What’s a Cambodia Business (E) Visa and who’s it for?

Who’s the Cambodian Business (E) Visa for?

• Individuals who have accepted a job offer in Cambodia or who have been invited by a Cambodian company.

• Professionals sent to Cambodia by a registered enterprise from their home country.

What’s the purpose of a Cambodian Business (E) Visa?

• Employment in Cambodia.

• Participation in business activities such as conferences, training sessions, or technical support.

• Investment-related activities.

However, you're not allowed to do the following:

• Tourism or leisure activities (these require a tourist visa).

• Permanent residency or long-term employment without obtaining the proper extensions and permissions.

How long can you stay with a Cambodian Business (E) Visa?

The Business Visa is issued for a Single entry and is valid for 3 months from its issuance date. This visa allows for a 30 days per entry in the country.

What are the Cambodian long-term visa options?

Cambodia offers several long-term visa options for various purposes, such as employment, study, business, and residence. Here are some of the common long-term visas:

• Khmer (K) Visa: Specifically for individuals of Cambodian descent (with at least one Cambodian parent) entering the country with a foreign passport.

• Courtesy (C) Visa: Intended for individuals who have accepted employment or volunteer work in Cambodia or have received an invitation from a registered organization with a valid Memorandum of Understanding with the Cambodian government.

• Official (B) Visa: Issued to holders of official passports. It's a single-entry visa with a 3-month validity before the departure date. It allows a 30-day stay upon entering Cambodia, which can be extended.

• Diplomatic (A) Visa: Available to diplomatic passport holders. This multiple-entry visa has a 3-month validity before the departure date. It permits a 30-day stay upon entering Cambodia, which can be extended​.

Make sure to stay updated on routine vaccines

• Ensure you are up to date on vaccines such as chickenpox, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, flu, measles-mumps-rubella (MMR), polio, and shingles​.

Things to be aware of when visiting Cambodia

Keep an extra eye on the following to keep healthy and safe during your trip to Cambodia:

1. Food and water contamination: Stick to bottled or boiled water and eat well-cooked food from reputable sources.

2. Mosquito-borne illnesses: Dengue fever, chikungunya, and malaria are present, especially in rural areas and in the monsoon season. Using mosquito repellent and wearing long-sleeved clothing can help prevent bites.

3. Personal safety: Be cautious in Phnom Penh due to crime and in remote areas of Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Pursat, Siem Reap, Pailin, and Kampong Thom provinces due to land mines from the historic conflicts in the country.

Medication for personal use

• Declare all medications: Report all medication for personal use to customs authorities.

• Original packaging: Always keep medicines in their original containers and in transparent bags in your hand luggage.

• Prescription or doctor's letter: Present the medical prescription issued by your doctor or other competent authority, in English.
