Visa Policy for Chad

If you have decided to travel to Chad, you must check the Chad Visa policy. The policy will provide all the details you need to know about entry requirements to Chad. Citizens from these countries only need to carry valid passports or national IDs in some cases to have a smooth entry to Chad. There is no need to go through any other procedures. These countries are Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Togo, and the United Arab Emirates. The countries that only need a national ID are Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon.

A diplomatic passport from these countries also allows free entry to Chad: Benin, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Liberia Libya, Mali, Morocco, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia, and Turkey.

On the other hand, the Chad Government provides the alternative to have a visa on arrival. However, the option is only available for travelers who have an entry authorization letter provided by Chad authorities. Only people coming from Benin can have a visa on arrival without this entry authorization.

Any other nationality will need to get a visa through the Chad Embassy or Consulate. In this case, you need to book an appointment at the nearest Chad diplomatic mission and bring all the required documentation. Don’t worry! All the information you need is available at the Chad visa policy.

Tourist Visa Policy for Chad

If you would like to do tourism activities in Chad, you will likely need to apply for a tourist visa. Remember that the Chad Government doesn’t offer electronic visas, which means you will need to get through the regular process. In other words, you need to visit the Chad Embassy or Consulate to get your tourist visa to Chad.

Tourist Visa for Chad

In order to get the Tourist Visa for Chad, you need to follow all the instructions in the Chad visa policy. You must gather these requirements:

  • Passport. You need to have a passport with a minimum validity of 6 months. The travel document should have one blank page and be in perfect condition.
  • Three passport photos. Your photos must be colored and should have been taken a maximum of three months ago. The photos must measure 2x2 inches and have a white background.
