Many of the countries around the world are on the list of states whose citizens can apply for a Cuba Tourist Card, also known as a Tarjeta del Turista. Zimbabwe is on that list, which means that you are eligible for such a document, and you do not need to go to the nearest Cuban diplomatic mission to get your visa. You can just apply online, and the Tourist Card can be yours in only one business day. As for the requirements, you have nothing to worry about. They are easy to meet, and you should have no issues in achieving everything on that list. Below, you will find a list of everything you need to apply and enter Cuba.
Passport
Every applicant needs to have a valid passport. Furthermore, the passport needs to maintain its validity for at least another 6 months from the date of arrival in Cuba. You need the document both when you apply online for the Tourist Card, and at immigration when you get to Cuba. Failure to comply leads to a rejected visa application. Also, if the passport expires faster than it has to, you will be deported.
To get a Cuba Tourist Card, you need to fill in a personal and travel information form. If you decide to apply online with iVisa, that should take you about 10 minutes. The application form is short but comprehensive. Even so, you cannot receive the Tourist Card without it.
Travel insurance
As of 2010, the Cuban government came up with the rule that all travelers who come to Cuba need to have travel insurance that provides coverage for the entire period of the trip. If you have insurance, you need to make sure that it provides international coverage. If it does not, you have multiple options. You can buy one in Zimbabwe prior to your departure, or you can purchase insurance once you arrive in Cuba. A company called ASISTUR SA can provide that for you.
Flight itinerary
When you arrive in Cuba, the immigration officer will ask you to provide a flight itinerary that states where you are coming from and where you are going after you leave Cuba.
Traveling with minors
Many countries allow children to travel on their parents’ or legal guardians’ visas, but Cuba does not. In consequence, you need to obtain a Cuba Tourist Card for every single child that accompanies you on your trip. It does not matter how old the children are.
Payment
When you apply online, you are required to make the payment before you submit your application. With iVisa, that could not be easier because you can pay using whatever means you find most convenient. You can use a credit/debit card and Paypal.
As you can see for yourself, the Cuban visa requirements for Zimbabweans are easy to meet. There is nothing out of the ordinary on that list, and you should be able to get everything done shortly. After you have everything, you can proceed to apply online with iVisa. It spares you the time and effort you waste when you apply for your visa at an embassy. iVisa provides a process that is entirely online and you will find it most convenient.
