While Jamaica is known for being the birthplace of reggae and jerk, there is so much more to this serene island. In addition to some of the best beaches in the Caribbean, the destination has breathtaking natural features such as waterfalls and lagoons and produces some of the world's most rare coffees. Are you packing your bags already?
Well, before you go, make sure you are aware of the Jamaica COVID-19 situation and restrictions, including completing the Jamaica C5-form, to ensure a smooth trip. Find out all you need to know below.
COVID-19 restrictions for international travel to Jamaica
International visitors to Jamaica should always take their health, vaccine status, and the risk of getting COVID-19 into consideration when visiting the island. Travel restrictions are subject to change without notice, and additional restrictions may be imposed by the Jamaican government, even during your stay. That said, iVisa always aims to give you the most up-to-date information.
Travel-related quarantine measures in Jamaica
The Jamaica quarantine requirement during COVID-19 upon entry is no longer in effect. You do not have to undergo an isolation period at a government facility or at home when arriving in the country. This COVID-19 travel advisory applies to both vaccinated and unvaccinated visitors to the country.
Testing and vaccination requirements in Jamaica
Vaccine passports, PCR tests or antigen tests are no longer required to enter Jamaica. There is no need to show a negative COVID-19 test result. If any visitor from a foreign country tests positive for COVID-19 during their trip, they are advised to stay at home or at their accommodation. This isolation period ends after 10 days. If symptoms persist, please see a medical officer.
As of March, air passengers do not have to fill out the Jamaica Travel Authorization Form anymore. This form was put in place by the health department of the Jamaican government, to stay informed about the health status of visitors to the country and disease control of COVID-19.
Instead, the Jamaica C5 form has replaced this former health declaration. It is a digital version of the immigration/customs declaration of all travelers (including children and transiting passengers) from other countries must complete before arrival. By submitting your information online, you’ll help the government speed up the customs process on arrival. Without this travel document, you will be denied entry.
Please note that this form is not a visa, and you should still go through the correct procedures to obtain one if applicable to your nationality.
How to complete the C5 form online
It only takes a few minutes to complete the C5 form application with iVisa. All you need are your personal details, passport information, a valid email address, and a credit or debit card. In order to submit the form, you must have a confirmed flight ticket. Simply follow the instructions:
