Frequently Asked Questions / FAQs

I'm from South Korea, do I have to apply for a Kuwait visa?

Yes, you need a visa to visit Kuwait. You can only get a Consular Visa by now.

What is a Kuwait e-Visa for South Korean Citizens?

It's a document that allows you to enter Kuwait with an electronic link in your passport. This document will be available very soon.

How long can I stay in Kuwait if I'm from Sout Korea?

Once you're able to apply online, you'll be able to stay in Kuwait for 90 days in total.

What are the requirements?

iVisa will request some information and documentation to process your application. You only need to provide a few documents before the application process. Here is the shortlist:

  • Valid passport – In case you have one, check its expiration date to make sure that is still valid.

  • A Digital copy of your passport – It's recommended to scan the information page.

  • Valid e-mail address – Your eVisa will be linked to passports digitally, but you still need to print out a copy before departure, which is why iVisa will send you one via e-mail in PDF format.

  • GCC residence card – this appeals only to applicants from other countries that are a part of Gulf Cooperation Council (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.) At the same time, the applicants from the GCC must work in specific fields.

  • Payment Method – before submitting the application, you will be required to pay the service fee using a credit/debit card or a PayPal account.

What are the processing times and fees?

The price you'll pay for your e-Visa will vary according to how fast you want to get it. Remember that the sooner you want it, the higher the fee you have to pay. As for that, iVisa provides you three options:

  • Standard processing time – It takes 4 days for your application to be ready for just USD $39.49.

  • Rush processing– If you pay USD $50.99, you will obtain your visa in 2 days.

  • Super rush processing – if you need to be on a plane to Kuwait as soon as it can be, you can select this alternative. Your application will be ready in 36 hours, and you will pay USD $70.99 for the urgency of it.

Don't forget that weekdays in Kuwait differs from other countries. Their weekends are on Fridays and Saturdays, so if you're from South Korea, then you should take that into consideration.

How can I apply?

There is no need for South Korean to print out and fill in the form by hand because iVisa uses an online form. Within 10 minutes, you can complete everything. Additionally, iVisa has a great customer support that can take your call anytime if you need help-

  1. The first step is giving your personal information just like with any other form. You will also need to select the processing time.

  2. You need to review all the information and make the payment in the second step. Corrections are impossible to make after your application is processed.

  3. The third phase is uploading some documents like the ones mentioned above. This can vary according to each applicant.

As you can see, getting a Kuwait eVisa is super easy. The document is valid for 30 days after issued, so you need to leave Kuwait before the 30-day period expires. Also, South Koreans are allowed to stay in Kuwait 90 days in total and have a Single entry.
