5 days before your visit to Malawi. This will allow your application to be processed before your trip. Keep in mind that this is the minimum and you may submit your application earlier if you wish.

Do I Need a Paper Copy of My e-Visa?

Paper copies of the e-visa are not required of citizens of The Republic of Ecuador. We do, however, recommend having one just in case.

Your Malawian e-visa will allow you a visit that does not exceed 90 days per entry.

You can file for an extension at the embassy if you so wish.

Do I Need My Ecuador Passport with Me in Malawi?

Yes, you must have your passport. Your passport will need to retain validity for at least six months after your arrival date in Malawi. Your passport will also need to have information that matches your e-visa. If the information is different, your e-visa will not be considered valid.

What do the applications for children require?

Children are not exempt from e-visa requirements. With their applications, you will need to scan:

  • A Photo
  • A copy of passport details page
  • Evidence of accommodation during your stay in Malawi
  • The minor's birth certificate
  • The minor's legal guardian's passport page
  • Consent letter
