This means there’s no need to apply for a visa beforehand. Upon arrival in the Maldives, Indian travelers can get a tourist visa directly at the airport, which allows a 30-day stay. You can apply for a visa extension for another 60 days at the discretion of Maldives Immigration.

  • Complete travel itinerary: You must have a confirmed return ticket and a detailed travel itinerary. This includes your outbound journey and confirmed accommodations.

  • Proof of financial means: Be prepared to show proof of sufficient funds to support your stay in the Maldives. This could be in the form of bank statements or a declaration of financial means.

  • Traveler declaration submission: All travelers to and from the Maldives must complete and submit the Traveler Declaration form. You must do it within 96 hours before your flight time. The declaration is submitted electronically via the IMUGA portal.

  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate (If applicable): If you're traveling from a Yellow Fever endemic country, you're required to present a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate. Note that children under one year of age are exempt from this requirement.
