Frequently Asked Questions / FAQs

A visa to Myanmar is required for Bhutanese nationals?

Yes, all Bhutanese citizens do require a visa to go to Myanmar. Fortunately, you can apply for an eVisa online.

What is a Myanmar eVisa?

It is also known as an electronic visa, which is an official electronic document authorized by the Government of Myanmar that allows many tourists to enter the country.

How much time does the eVisa allows me to stay inside the country?

Buthanese citizens can stay inside Myanmar for 28 days in total.

What are the requirements?

iVisa will deal with the bureaucracy so you do not ought to get stressed with it. You may already have everything you need since these requirements can be obtained without any difficulty. Here is a list of what you need to provide:

**

  • Passport page
  • Applicant's photo
  • Flight Reservation (if applicable)
  • Proof of accommodation (if applicable) **

While the eVisa will be electronically linked to your passport, you need a copy to show at the immigration office in Myanmar. iVisa will send your eVisa via email in PDF format, so you need to offer a valid email address.

You should also remember that you'll be asked to make the payment for both the visa and service fee for iVisa during the online process. You can pay with a credit/debit card or a PayPal Account.

How much does it cost the eVisa?

We understand that this is probably one of the many concerns about electronic visas. This is the reason why we offer you 3 options that can easily fit your needs:

  • Standard processing time (7 days) - USD $110.99.

  • Rush processing (5 days) - USD $141.99.

  • Super Rush processing (4 days) - USD $169.99.

Will it take me a long time to complete my application form?

Just 30 minutes of your time will be enough to process your eVisa.

Can you explain me each part of the application form?

Getting a Myanmar eVisa is an effortless process. We divide the online form into three easy steps:

  1. In the first step, you'll need to provide your personal information and you'll also have to choose a processing time option.

  2. Then do the revision and payment in the next part. Keep in mind that once your application has been processed, revisions are no longer permitted. So, take your time in this second part and double-check all your info details.

  3. The last step has a personal questionnaire that you have to complete. There will be different requirements for each applicant, so additional documents might be needed. Once the steps are completed, just click on the submit button and wait for your visa to arrive.

Do I have the option to enter Myanmar all the times I want?

No, the tourist Myanmar eVisa just lets you enter once. It means you will get a Single entry.

What would happen if my kids want to travel with me?

You have two options that will depend on your kids age:

  • For those who have less than 7 years old, need to apply along with their parents. There is no additional fees for this case as they will be in the same application form as their parents.

  • For those who have more than 7 years old, need to apply for their own eVisa. Separately from their parents.

**I did not make any reservation of the accommodation in Myanmar yet, is that a problem?

No, actually, you can apply for the eVisa without making a hotel reservation.
