The United Arab Emirates is a visa waiver country as far as New Zealand is concerned. It means that its citizens can travel to New Zealand without applying for a Visitor Visa. Also, they must not stay in New Zealand for more than 3 months. As a citizen of the UAE, if you want to stay there for longer than 3 months, you need to apply for a New Zealand after all. However, iVisa provides an excellent online application process that spares you the trouble of going to the nearest embassy.

What are the requirements?

Before filling in the application form, you need to put together a series of documents and some information. You must give them to iVisa so that the company can get the process started. However, there is nothing on that list that is challenging to achieve. Here is what you need:

  • Valid passport – travelers who wish to apply online need to have a passport. Furthermore, you need to make sure that the passport is valid for at least another 3 months from your date of departure from New Zealand.

  • Digital photo – the photo needs to be as recent as possible and meet all the other guidelines for a passport photo. For example, it needs to be taken against a white background.

  • Means of payment – iVisa asks that you make the payment while you complete the steps of the application form. You can do that using a credit or a debit card, but you can also pay using Paypal.

  • E-mail address – iVisa sends you the visa via e-mail in PDF format. Do not forget to print a few copies so that you have a couple of spares.

  • Means of sustenance – once you arrive in New Zealand, you need to prove that you can provide for yourself during your trip. A bank account statement should be sufficient.

  • Return flight ticket – when you arrive at the airport, you may be required to show a return flight ticket to your country of origin (or another destination if you are in transit). If you do not have one, you need to prove that you have the money to buy one.

Note: if you have a criminal record, you need to disclose that information since people with a criminal history must undergo special procedures.

New Zealand visa for the citizens of UAE – the application form

Once you have everything you need, you can move on to the next step, and that is the application form. Lucky for you, the form you find on iVisa’s website is short. It should take you 20 minutes to go through all three steps. Also, if you need some assistance, iVisa provides [customer support 24/7. The service is free of charge.

  1. The first step of the application form requires you to insert your general information, and select a processing time. Your choice affects the cost of your visa, so mind what choice you make.

  2. The second step is about payment and revision. The payment is covered above, and as for the revision, you need to make sure that everything you provide is accurate. Check the spelling as well. Even the smallest error can invalidate your visa.

  3. The last step consists of documents to upload. iVisa tells you exactly what you need to provide. When you are done with all three steps, you can submit your application and then there is nothing else to do than wait. iVisa takes care of the rest.

To conclude, a New Zealand visa for the citizens of UAE is easy to obtain. The process is short, there are not many requirements, and iVisa handles most of the bureaucracy. The visa is valid for 2 years after issued, and you are allowed to stay in New Zealand for 90 days per entry.
