Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

I'm from Guyana, do I need a visa to visit New Zealand?

Guyana citizens need a Consular Tourist Visa at the moment, but they'll be required to apply for a New Zealand ETA very soon.

To simplify this explanation, iVisa does not provide the New Zealand ETA yet, but you can always check your eligibility for an e-Visa here. Just select your nationality and the country of destination and you'll know the information quite fast.

How long can I stay in New Zealand?

You can stay there 90 days per entry

What are the requirements?

Meeting the requirements for a New Zealand Visitor Visa should not imply too much effort. Here is what you need for a successful application process:

  • Valid passport – the passport must maintain its validity for at least another 3 months from the date you plan to leave New Zealand. You are also required to have a scan of your passport’s information page. Make sure that the scan includes the signature.
  • Digital passport photo – the picture must meet some requirements of its own. It must be taken as recently as possible.
  • Travel plans – you need to put together some kind of itinerary that shows what plans you have in New Zealand.
  • Proof of accommodation – a hotel booking confirmation or a letter from a host.
  • List of your periods of employment.
  • Documents that show your ties to your home country – for example, you can provide family documents, that you have a job or property in your country.
  • Proof of sustenance – you need to have evidence that you can support yourself during your trip to New Zealand.
  • E-mail address – iVisa will send you the New Zealand ETA via e-mail. A correct address is a must.
  • Method of payment – when you apply with iVisa, you can use a credit or debit card, but Paypal is also a valid mean of payment.

What are the processing times and fees?

The price of a New Zealand ETA for the citizens of Guyana is the same as for everyone else. However, it is not fixed. It depends on the processing time you select during the application process. Since not everyone has the same needs, iVisa came up with three options:

  • Standard processing – By choosing this option you accept to receive your New Zealand ETA in 4 days, and you accept to pay USD $179.99
  • Rush processing – your application is ready within 3 days, but the total price is a bit higher. You must pay USD $217.99
  • Super Rush processing – With this alternative you must wait only 2 days for your application form. As you might guess, this is the most expensive option. You are charged USD $280.99.

How long is the New Zealand ETA Valid for?

This document expires 2 years after issued and it has Multiple entry.

How can I apply?

Just like with the requirements, you will not experience any difficulties with the application form. However, if you need some assistance, iVisa’s customer support is available 24/7 and free of charge.

The form is split into three steps:

  1. The first one concerns your personal information and some details about your trip, but it also asks you to select the processing time.

  2. The second step expects you to cover the payment and do a quick revision of your form to make sure that it does not include errors.

  3. And the third just requires you to upload the documents that support your application. After you finish this, you are free to submit the online form.

As you can see, getting a New Zealand Visitor Visa for the citizens of Guyana could not be more convenient. You'll get the chance to apply online with no stress very soon.

Do I need a New Zealand visa if I'm in the transit area?

You'll probably be asked to have the New Zealand visa if you stay at the airport, even if it's only in the International Transit Lounge. We suggest that you contact the embassy to receive proper information about this topic.

Where can I read more information about the New Zealand ETA?

In case you still have doubts about the New Zealand ETA, then you can contact iVisa’s customer service center to receive a personal attention. The service can be reached via online chat or phone 24/7, and it is entirely free of charge.

But you can also read more about the New Zealand ETA here if you prefer. You can choose the best option according to the help you need.
