Each Poland Schengen Visa that is issued includes a total number of days allowed for the visit, or visits if you are approved for a multiple entry visa. This is your visa's duration.

There is no guaranteed duration as this is decided by the embassy you submit your application to. If you have a multiple stay visa, your duration of stay must not conflict with the 90/180 rule. This means that if staying the full length of your allowed duration of stay will force you to exceed 90 days within 180 days, you will have to leave before your duration of stay is up.

What is the 90/180 rule?

The 90/180 rule is the standard that is used for max stay per visit. According to the guidelines set by the Schengen zone, visitors may only visit the Schengen area for a total of 90 days within 180 days. The 180 days does not stick to a specific timeframe and is instead a rolling count of consecutive days.

Am I eligible for a refund if my application is rejected?

You will not be able to receive a refund for your application fee if your application is rejected. All application fees are non-refundable.

Can I request an extension for my duration of stay?

Yes. You can request an extension for your duration of stay, but extensions are not granted on a regular basis if there is not a great or urgent reason as to why an extension should be granted.

Does the duration of stay affect which countries within the Schengen area I can travel to?

No. Duration of stay that is granted on your visa does not have any effect on which countries you are allowed to visit while you are in the Schengen area.

How long does the application interview last?

The interview that is required in the visa application process will typically only last about 15 minutes.

Can I submit my application online instead of going to the embassy?

No.There is not currently an option for submitting applications online for a Poland Schengen visa. You will have to go to the embassy to submit your application.

What happens when I go to the Polish embassy?

When you go to the Polish embassy, you will submit your application along with the required documents, pay the application fee, submit your biometrics, and attend an interview. The interview should only last about 15 minutes. Before you arrive at the embassy, be sure that you schedule an appointment (which we will help you coordinate). If my children travel with me, will they need a separate application?

Yes. Your children will not be able to be included on your application. It is the Schengen area's policy that each traveler, regardless of age, has their own application and their own visa. Visas cannot be shared with members of your family and are only valid for the person to whom it is issued.
