Updated on May 14, 2024

Andorran citizens will need a visa to go to Russia. The e-Visa program for Russia started in 2017 and is slowly expanding to include all foreign nationals who need a visa. Until then, you can still get a standard paper visa at your nearest Russian embassy or consulate.

When the e-Visa program is available for Andorra, iVisa plans to release the application right here on our website. You can see what e-Visa programs are available for your country using the Visa Checker Tool.

The Russia e-Visa Program | Concerns and Explanations for e-Visa Holders

The Expiration Time for a Russia e-Visa

The Russian e-Visa will expire after 30 days from the date of issuance. This means that you will need to enter Russia with the visa within 30 days from the issuance date or the visa will become invalid.

It is currently required to apply no less than 4 days before you travel to Russia and no more than 20 days before your intended arrival date.

Be sure to plan your trip to Russia within this time frame so you do not make the mistake of allowing your visa to expire before you can use it.

The Russia e-Visa | Valid Travel Reasons

Currently, the Russian e-Visa can be used for various purposes: business, tourism, and humanitarian reasons (in sports, culture, science, and technology).

Explanation of the Russian e-Visa Program

In August 2017, the Russian Federation began accepting visa applications online to help streamline their visa program for foreign nationals. This e-Visa program is currently open to the citizens of 53 countries looking to travel to specific regions of Russia such as the Far Eastern Federal District, Kaliningrad, Saint Petersburg, and Leningrad Oblast.

Once citizens of Andorra are allowed to apply for an electronic visa for Russia, it will be released on iVisa’s website. Until then, we can help you figure out the best way to apply.

Length of Stay Allowed with an e-Visa for Russia

The e-Visa program currently allows visa holders to stay in Russia for up to 8 days from the date of entry in the country.

Traveling Between Regions | What You Need to Know

It depends on which region you enter and what the specific requirements are for that region according to Russian federal law. Most visas, though, are only good to use for the specific region that you chose to travel to.

Entrance Limits for Holding a Russian e-Visa

Most e-Visas are good for only one entry into Russia. Sometimes, you can get one that allows more entries. Speak to your consulate or embassy for all options available.

Travel Medical Insurance - A Necessity?

It is required that you have a medical insurance policy to cover you in case you injure yourself while you are in Russia.

Required Documentation to Get Started with the e-Visa Application

Whether you apply for an e-Visa or a paper visa, you will be required to supply:

  • Passport-Style Photo - Go ahead and supply two copies that have a light background and are printed in colored, not black and white.
  • Valid Passport - Your passport needs to be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the last day you plan to be in Russia. Have a couple of blank pages for stamping purposes.
  • Health Insurance Policy - To enter Russia, you need to show that you have an insurance policy for international travel.
  • Invitation Letter - Talk to your hotel or hostel about getting an invitation letter. Current residing citizens of Russia and valid tour operators can also supply an invitation letter.

Obtaining a Russia Visa | Citizens of Andorra

No matter your reason for going, you will need a visa to get into Russia. Once you are there, remember, you may need special permits or separate visas depending on if you plan to travel around Russia or just stay in the same region or city.
