Learn More: Business Invitation Letter

What you need to know

  • You are applying for a Russian Business Invitation Letter and not a Russian Business (Commercial) Visa. The Russian Invitation Letter is a requirement for you to obtain the Russian Business Visa.

  • For Business Invitation Letter 3 years (for US citizens), the passport should be valid at least for 3 years after arrival in Russia.

  • Please note that the Business Invitation Letter is a scan of the original. This is typically acceptable at most Russian Embassies, but there are cases where the Embassy may require the original. We suggest all applicants inquire to see if the original is required at their specific consulate, as we are unable to send originals at this time.

  • After you receive your Invitation Letter via email, you can apply for the Russian Business Visa at one of their embassies.

  • A proof of accommodation is required to obtain the travel document. The dates in this document MUST match the travel dates selected in the application. This is a requirement that is demanded by the government in order to issue the travel document.

  • The Russian Business Invitation you will receive from iVisa consists of a Business Confirmation Letter (“подтверждение о приеме иностранного туриста” - in Russian).

  • Business Invitation Letters are only available to EU citizens, US citizens and a few others.

  • The Russian Business Invitation Letter will be in Russian.

  • To enter the country, every traveler must have health insurance. There is no quarantine requirement on arrival in Russia.

RUSSIA IS OPEN: Russia re-opened for tourism on 25 January 2021.

NOTE: Business invitation and visa suggest that a foreign citizen will be staying in a hotel or in a rental apartment. It is not possible to indicate just a private address of a friend or relative.

Questions?

You can obtain an invitation letter through iVisa, by clicking here and filling out the requested information.

iVisa provides both Russian Tourist and Business invitation letters, depending on the purpose of your trip and which visa you want to apply for.

The Russian visa is issued by the Embassy or Consulate of the Russian Federation. To obtain a Russian visa, you need an official invitation (a visa support document) which iVisa can provide, depending on the purpose of your visit.
At iVisa, we understand that your time is valuable, and we strive to provide you with the fastest service possible. Our processing times are estimated based on the average duration it takes governments to process visa applications. These estimated times begin from the moment we receive all the correct information for your application until you receive your visa. While we work diligently to expedite the process, it’s important to note that we are reliant on the processing times set by the government authorities.
