Before planning your trip to the Schengen area, make sure that you have the required documents beforehand. Depending on your country of origin, you may need a Schengen Visa, and one of the requirements to apply for it is Health Insurance. Additionally, you must also meet the Schengen Health Insurance Requirements, including having a minimum coverage for any medical emergency.

Fill me in

In simpler words, you need a document that proves you have health insurance for the entire Schengen area, with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros in case of any emergency like illnesses, accidents, and even repatriation in case of death. Be aware that this is mandatory for health insurance, but that you may need other things to process the Schengen visa. Which is why we recommend you read the following guide that iVisa.com has created for you.

How to apply online with iVisa.com

The Schengen visa application is not available online yet, but it will be soon. In case you choose to process your travel document, remember that it will be split into 3 steps.

For now, it is possible to apply for the Schengen Visa only at the embassies, meaning that they will also ask you for the Schengen Health Insurance requirements. However, keep in mind the following 3-step process as this will soon be an option to process your travel document:

  • Step 1: Start the process. You have to offer a few pieces of information to start the online process on iVisa.com. You will need to have your passport ready, as well as a scanned copy of your passport’s information page, your current email address, and a color passport-quality photo.

  • Step 2: Apply. You can now start filling in our online application form. This is the easiest part of the process, so it won’t take you much time. You must also pick a processing speed according to your time demands.

  • Step 3: Payment. We offer safe and reliable services, and that’s why we charge a fee. But, don’t worry, this fee varies depending on the processing speed you choose (Standard, Rush, Super Rush). After choosing the processing time, pay for the corresponding fees with a valid debit or credit card.

Once you complete this process, click on ‘submit’ and let our customer service agents verify the information to process your document easily.

Take into account that you may need the Schengen visa to enter the Schengen area depending on your nationality. That’s why we recommend using our Visa Checker Tool, which is in the box in the top right corner of this page.

Once there, choose your nationality from the drag-down menu and also select any Schengen country as a destination to see if you have to apply for a Schengen visa and meet the Schengen Health Insurance Requirements. You can reach out to our customer service agents to obtain more help anytime if you need it.

iVisa.com recommends
