Bled is the name of the natural island and the small town located in the northwestern part of Slovenia near Austria’s border located 50 kilometers from Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital city that floats on Lake Bled surrounded by the Julian Alps. Getting to Bled is a romantic adventure. You need to hop on a Pletna, a traditional wooden boat with a flat bottom. After boarding, the trained oarsman will row while you enjoy the fairytale scenery around you. These rides leave every 45 minutes from different starting points around the lake.
