New Zealand is on the list of countries whose citizens, according to Sri Lanka’s visa policy, are eligible for a visa on arrival. However, in order to obtain that document, all travelers must obtain a Sri Lanka ETA before departure. Fortunately, the electronic travel authorization is available online, and iVisa can help you get it.
What are the requirements?
You may be able to obtain the Sri Lanka ETA online, and iVisa may handle all the bureaucracy, but there is still something that you must do, and that is to make sure that you meet the requirements. Even so, you are not asked much except for some information and some documents. You are required to provide the following:
-
Valid passport – to obtain a Sri Lanka ETA, all applicants must hold a valid passport that remains valid for at least another 6 months from the date of arrival in Sri Lanka.
-
Digital photo – make sure that the picture is as recent as possible and follows all the guidelines for a passport photo.
-
Valid e-mail address – iVisa will send you the ETA via e-mail in PDF format, which is why you must provide an e-mail address to which you have access. Do not forget to print out a physical copy before you leave.
-
Means of payment – during the application process, you will be required to make the payment. iVisa accepts credit or debit cards, but you can use PayPal, Alipay, or WeChat as well.
Apart from the items above, you have one last requirement to meet, and that is to fill in the application form. Rest assured that the form created by iVisa is not designed to give you any headaches. It is short and simple, and as a result, you should not spend more than 20 minutes going through it. Plus, if you need any help, iVisa has an excellent support service that is at your disposal 24/7. The service is free of charge.
As mentioned in the heading, the application form you must complete has three steps. The first one is when you insert your personal information such as name, address, date of birth, and other such details. You are also required to select a processing time for your application, an aspect which establishes the cost of your Sri Lanka ETA. iVisa gives you three options, and they are as follows:
-
Standard processing – this is the cheapest and slowest option iVisa puts at your disposal. Your application is processed within 1 business day, and it costs $55.
-
Rush processing – this time, your ETA arrives in just 3 hours, but you will be charged $85.
-
Super Rush processing – it only takes 30 minutes for your application to be processed. As you can imagine, the fee is higher. $105 to be more precise.
If you need a Sri Lanka Business ETA, the processing time options remain the same, but the fees are slightly different. You will be charged $70, $100, and $120 respectively for each processing time.
The second step consists of payment and revision. You should be aware that corrections are impossible to make once your application reaches the processing phase, which is why we recommend that you read your form multiple times to correct any inaccuracies or typos. Otherwise, your authorization will be invalid.
The last step is reserved for documents upload. That should not take very long either, and if additional documents are required, iVisa will let you know. After the last step is complete, all you can do is submit your application and wait for your ETA to arrive in the timeframe of your choosing.
All in all, a Sri Lanka visa for the citizens of New Zealand is effortless to get when you use iVisa’s services. The document you receive is valid for 90 days. It grants a double entry, but you cannot stay in Sri Lanka for more than 30 days per entry.
