Do Cuban citizens need a visa to visit Suriname?

Yes, Cuban citizens are required to obtain a visa to visit Suriname. In May 2023, the country reinstated its visa requirements for citizens from 21 nations, including Cuba.

There are different types of eVisas available for Cuban travelers. They include:

  • Tourist eVisa: Allows travelers to visit Suriname for tourism, including sightseeing and visiting friends or relatives.

  • Business eVisa: For individuals engaging in business activities, such as meetings or conferences, and for short-term training or internships.

  • Transit eVisa: For travelers passing through Suriname to reach another destination.

Additionally, Cubans may need to pay a Suriname Entry Fee, or they risk being detained at the border.

We currently handle visa applications for the Suriname Business Visa and the Entry Fee. For tourism-related travels or if you need a transit visa, please visit the VFS Global website for more information.
