If you want to visit Taiwan and you have a Peruvian passport, you need to know that Peruvian citizens require a Tourist Visa to enter the country. What is the Taiwan Visa?

The Taiwan eVisa, also known as Taiwan Tourist Visa, is a digital or electronic official document issued by the Republic of China that provides its holder with Single entry to legally visit Taiwan for tourism and business reasons. The duration of the visa is 90 days after issued, which counts from the day on which the document is issued and allows the tourist to stay in the country for up to 330 days in total

Please note that the printout of the document needs to be presented at the immigration counter upon arrival, along with a valid and original passport.

How can Citizens of Peru get the Taiwan eVisa?

Tourists that have non-eligible nationalities can still apply for the visa by getting an e-code from the local host organization. In this case, it is necessary to get an official invitation to the international conferences or activities that the tourist is going to enroll in during their stay in Taiwan.   • In order to be granted a Tourist Visa, you need to be able to prove that the reasons for visiting the country are strictly related to tourism, business, visiting family or friends, or attending international conferences or sports events.

  • Your flight itinerary needs to prove that your stay in the national territory won't be longer than 30 days, which is the maximum duration the eVisa allows tourists to stay in Taiwan, and this period cannot be extended.

  • If you are traveling with children or minors, please bear in mind that all travelers require a Taiwan Visa upon arrival regardless of age, so make sure all your companions fulfill this requirement.

Documents to apply

The documents required for the application for a Taiwan Visa are:

  • Valid passport - meaning, a passport in which citizenship is one of the eligibles and whose validity goes for a minimum of six (6) months from the date you enter Taiwan.

  • Payment method - credit or debit card.

  • Recent passport photo - in case you don't have a recent passport photo, you can make use of our iVisa Photo Service.

  • Email address - The Taiwan eVisa will be sent to your email address, so make sure you provide the right email address.

Keep in mind that depending on the applicant's citizenship and the purpose of the visit, the Republic of China may ask for additional proof and may also deny the visa if you fail to submit them on time.
