If you are an Andorran citizen who wishes to spend his or her next vacation in Thailand, you should know that you now have access to a visa on arrival. That means you can avoid the Thai diplomatic mission altogether, and apply for a visa on arrival, which goes without saying that it simplifies the process. Furthermore, you can apply online so that you do not have to go anywhere. All you need is a device with an internet connection. iVisa can help you with the process that should not last more than 10 minutes.
What is required of you?
iVisa will do most of the work for you, but you need to provide a few things to help them get started. Below you will find a list of everything you need in order to apply online:
-
Valid passport – getting a passport is quite easy these days, but if you already have one, take a look at its expiry date. The passport needs to maintain its validity for at least another 30 days from your date of departure.
-
Return flight ticket – the Thailand visa on arrival allows you to spend only 15 days inside the country. To make sure that you follow this rule, the immigration officer will ask you to present a confirmed return flight ticket within the 15-day period.
-
Proof of accommodation – you need to have a hotel reservation, or you can have your host in Thailand write and sign a letter according to which you have a place to stay while in the country.
-
Valid e-mail address – once you apply on iVisa, they will send you an application form that you need to fill in before getting to Thailand. They will send you the said document via e-mail, which is why you need to make sure that the address you provide is valid and correctly spelled.
-
Means of payment – what you need to pay during the application process is the service fee to iVisa. You can do that using a credit or a debit card, and if you have an account on Paypal, you can use that as well.
At the same time, when you arrive in Thailand, you will be asked to state the purpose of your visit. It is just a precaution that ensures the immigration officer that you will not spend more than 15 days within the Thai borders.
Processing time and cost
The cost of your visa on arrival depends on which processing time you choose during the application process. iVisa gives you three excellent choices:
-
Standard processing – It costs $20, and your application is processed within 1 business day. It is what people choose the most often.
-
Rush processing – this time, your application is processed within 2 hours, and you will be charged $50.
-
Super Rush processing – this option is great for people who are in a hurry. It takes 15 minutes for the Thailand visa on arrival application form to arrive in your e-mail inbox, and you need to pay $70 for it.
Keep in mind that the fees above do not cover the cost of the visa itself, but only the service fee for iVisa. That fee must be paid at the immigration checkpoint in Thailand when you receive your stamp. Your visa on arrival costs 2000 THB ($65). You can spend maximum 15 days in Thailand, and you can enter multiple times. Say what you will, but you have to admit that iVisa provides the best alternative to embassies and long lines.
Note: you can apply online using iVisa only if you travel to Thailand by air and you land at Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok.
