Visas on arrival are very close to becoming a thing of the past, especially with the rise of the electronic visa system which more and more countries adopt. The Ugandan government took the decision of replacing the Uganda visa on arrival with the Uganda electronic visa. As a result, starting July 2016, a Uganda visa at the Entebbe airport was no longer available. People used to land there and get their visa, but now, every traveler who lands on the Entebbe airport and has not applied online for a Uganda e-visa will be sent back to the country of origin.

Until the Uganda electronic visa came to full effect, the visa on arrival system at the Entebbe airport was pretty inefficient. The facility was not as available as before, and delays used to occur pretty often. As it seems, the switch was necessary.

In this article, we will explain to you what to do in order to enter Uganda legally with no issues.
