Questions?
I don't have a return ticket. Will this be an issue?
Joan R, USA | July 2, 2024
I’m applying for my Uganda tourist eVisa and noticed they’re asking about including travel plans in the application. My plan is to fly into Entebbe but then travel by bus around the country, which means I won’t have a typical return ticket. Is this going to be a problem? How detailed do these plans need to be?
Cami, iVisa | July 5, 2024
For your eVisa application to Uganda, you need to include your travel plans, detailing your entry and exit points and any major travel within the country. Since you'll be traveling by bus around Uganda and won’t have a typical return ticket, you should clearly explain this. Describe your full itinerary as much as possible, including how you plan to exit Uganda. This level of detail will help address any concerns about your return plans.
When can I travel once the eVisa is approved?
Nigel S, UK | July 15, 2024
I’m looking to apply for my eVisa about 30 days before I fly out in August—maybe even a bit earlier. Just wondering, once my eVisa gets approved, how long do I have before I need to actually travel? I want to make sure I time everything right without any stress.
Martin, iVisa | July 18, 2024
Once your Uganda eVisa is approved, it's valid for three months (90 days) from the date of approval. This means you should plan to enter Uganda within these 90 days. Applying about 30 days before your trip, as you mentioned, is a good strategy to ensure you have your eVisa ready in time and can make any necessary adjustments should there be delays in the approval process.
Can I apply for a second eVisa while the first one is still valid?
Amalia B, Germany | July 22, 2024
I’m supposed to go to Uganda on business next week and already have my single-entry visa. But now my travel plans have changed. After arriving in Uganda, I’ll leave for Kenya for a few days and then return to Uganda. I realized I’ll need another visa for my return, but the Uganda immigration website won’t let me apply for a second eVisa since I already have one approved. I’m stuck on what to do next. Any idea what I should do?
Cami, iVisa | July 24, 2024
If your travel plans now include leaving and then returning to Uganda, you'll need a new visa for your return since you currently have a single-entry visa. If you're unable to apply for a second eVisa because the system recognizes your approved one, you can apply for a new Uganda eVisa as soon as you land in Kenya. We have a Super Rush processing option where you can get your eVisa in 72 hours.
