Uzbekistan’s visa policy states that there are about 60 states whose citizens are eligible for an Uzbekistan electronic visa, and as a result, those people do not have to go to an Uzbek embassy to get their visa. They can apply online instead. Australia is one of those countries, which means that you are in luck and you can avoid all that hassle that embassies are known for. All you need is to use iVisa’s services.
What do you need?
iVisa asks very little of you, which is why your effort is minimal in the whole application process. You must, however, provide some documents and some information so that iVisa can expedite your application. Here is what you need:
-
Passport – all applicants must have a valid passport. Not only that, but the passport needs to remain valid for at least another 6 months from the date of arrival in Uzbekistan. So take a look at your passport’s expiry date before you apply.
-
Digital scan of your passport – iVisa will ask you to upload a scan of your passport during the application process. Make sure that the scan is in JPEG format.
-
Digital passport photo – a photo of you must be linked to your electronic visa, which is why you need this one as well. The more recent the picture is, the better.
-
E-mail address – iVisa will send you your visa via e-mail, so make sure you have a valid e-mail address. Do not forget to print out the document you receive. In multiple copies, preferably.
-
Means of payment – when you fill in the application form, you will be required to make the payment that covers both the visa itself and the service fee for iVisa. You can use a credit/debit card, PayPal, Alipay, or WeChat.
Another requirement is for you to fill in an online form. That is not difficult. It should take you about 20 minutes to do it, and in case you need some help, iVisa provides support service 24/7.
There are three steps you need to complete. The first one will ask you to fill in your personal information, as well as some details regarding your trip. At this point, you must also choose a processing time, an aspect that will determine the cost of your Uzbekistan e-visa. Here are your options:
-
Standard processing – when you select this option, your visa will arrive via e-mail within 5 business days. This is the cheapest option you have at hand, and you must wait a little bit, but if you plan ahead, everything should be on schedule. It costs only $40.
-
Rush processing – if you do not want to wait 5 days for your Uzbekistan e-visa, you can opt for this processing time. The waiting period is shortened to 72 hours, and you will be charged $60.
-
Super Rush processing – if you need to leave sooner than 72 hours, this is the fastest available option. Your application form is processed within 48 hours. Of course, you will spend more money on this option than on the other two. The Super Rush Processing costs $80.
The second step of the application process consists of review and payment. You must check and see whether you inserted all the correct information or not. Errors cannot be corrected after your application reaches processing, which may lead to you repeating the process. The payment is made using one of the methods mentioned above.
The third and last step will ask you to upload some additional documents. This step is not the same for everyone since its guidelines are on a case by case basis. After you are done, just submit your application and you are done.
The Uzbekistan visa for Australian citizens is valid for 90 days since its release. You can use it for a single entry only, and you can stay in Uzbekistan for a maximum of 30 days. Even so, if you apply online with iVisa, the application process is easy, and your efforts are close to non-existent.
