Uzbekistan has started to release electronic visas for the citizens of all European Union citizens (except Cyprus), which means that UK citizens are eligible for an Uzbekistan e-visa. The application process is entirely online so that you can avoid going to an embassy. Instead, you can use your laptop or smartphone to apply, and iVisa will be right there for you every step of the way.
What is required of you?
One of the best things when you apply online is that the requirements are pretty straightforward. iVisa asks only for the bare minimum so that you do not make too much effort. However, you do need to provide some documentation and some information about you and your trip to Uzbekistan. Here is a list of what you need:
-
Passport – every UK applicant needs to have a passport. Moreover, the passport needs to keep its validity for at least another 6 months from the date of arrival in Uzbekistan. Take a quick look at your passport’s expiry date before you apply.
-
Digital scan of your passport – iVisa will ask you to upload a scan of your passport during the application process. The format should be JPEG.
-
Digital passport photo – a photo of you must be linked to your e-visa, which is why you need to have one taken. It is preferable that the picture is as recent as possible.
-
E-mail address – iVisa will send you your visa via e-mail, so make sure you have a valid e-mail address. Do not forget to print out the document you receive. We recommend that you print several copies so that you have spares.
-
Means of payment – when you fill in the application form, you will be required to make the payment for both the visa itself and the service fee for iVisa. You can use a credit/debit card, PayPal, Alipay, or WeChat.
Uzbekistan visa for UK citizens – processing time and fees
Employing the services of iVisa will not cost you an arm and a leg. In fact, you will notice that the cost is worth every penny. Why? Because iVisa does most of the work for you. Surely you have more important things to do than waste an entire day for a piece of paper. With that in mind, iVisa created three processing times so that you can choose the one that suits you best. They are as follows:
-
Standard – opting for this processing time means that your visa will arrive via e-mail within 5 business days. It is the cheapest option you have. It costs only $40.
-
Rush – if you do not wish to wait 5 days for your Uzbekistan e-visa, you can select this option instead. The waiting period is 72 hours this time, and you will be charged $60.
-
Super Rush – if you have to leave as soon as possible, this is the quickest option you have at hand. Your application form is processed within 48 hours. The Super Rush Processing costs $80.
Aside from the requirements mentioned above, you must also fill in an application form. But do not worry. It should take you approximately 20 minutes to do it, and iVisa provides support service day and night. Someone is able to help you every step of the way.
The Uzbekistan visa for UK citizens is valid for 90 days from its issue, but you can stay no more than 30 days in Uzbekistan. You are granted a single entry on the same visa. But as you can see, when you apply online with iVisa, the effort is barely there. Surely you can see for yourself that the process is entirely hassle-free.
