Do Indian citizens need a visa to visit Suriname?

Yes, Indian citizens planning to travel to Suriname are required to obtain a Suriname visa before entering the country.

In May 2023, Suriname reinstated the visa requirement for 21 countries, including India. Several types of Suriname eVisas are available, each designed for different travel purposes. The main ones are:

• Tourist eVisa: Ideal for those visiting Suriname for sightseeing, vacationing, or meeting friends and relatives.

• Business eVisa: Tailored for individuals who must travel to Suriname for business-related activities such as meetings, conferences, training of workers, or short internships.

• Transit eVisa: Suited for travelers passing through Suriname en route to a third or final destination.

In addition to a visa, Indians traveling to Suriname may need to pay a Suriname Entry Fee or risk being denied entry into the country.
